Frequently asked questions

What does a scorer do?

The scorer is practically the head judge's right hand. The head judge makes the decisions; the scorer makes sure they have the right information to do so: setting up competitions and rounds, collecting the judges' scores, showing callbacks, ties and placements, and pointing out anything unusual, such as eligibility questions or rule violations. In the background the scorer keeps lists, tablets, printers and volunteers running, so the head judge can focus on the dance floor.

How do I book a scorer?

Click "Request" on the scorer's card. Your message goes to the scorer by email and they reply to you directly. Fees, travel and accommodation are agreed between you and the scorer.

What does "available" mean in the date filter?

Based on events booked on scoring.dance (incl. travel day). Please confirm with the scorer.

Why is a scorer not listed?

Each scorer decides whether their profile is public. Scorers who have stopped are listed in the hall of honour below the list.

What do the medals mean?

Bronze scorer: 10+ events scored · Silver scorer: 25+ events scored · Gold scorer: 50+ events scored
